Looks mighty impressive. My concern is the safety of the train when at speed in a country where earthquakes are fairly common.

帰省のたびに新幹線を使っています。 乗継の特急列車が、最優等「のぞみ」(博多行き)と連絡していたので、子ども達を連れて帰る時、下りは一桁番台、上りでも二桁番台若い列車番号の「のぞみ」に乗ることが多かったです。 1997年11月の東海道区間デビューの翌年1998年夏と1999年夏に500系のぞみに乗車しました。一方の年は、切符の予約が遅れて、グリーン車に乗車しました。子ども達は大喜びでしたが、懐は痛かったです。(笑) ここにある多くの御意見同様、私も500系が新幹線の最高傑作であり、最も格好良いデザインだと思います。(^-^) 今は観られなくなった貴重な映像、ありがとうございました。○┐

@greenkawasemi おっしゃるとおり！仮に外見（ハード）は真似できてもソフトは無理（てか、ハードも張子の虎でしょうけどね）。でもあのコメントは例の事故の前に投稿したものだったんですよ。あの時点では100年位かなと思っていたんですけどね（笑）。まさかあのコメントの直後に事故が起こるとは思わなかった。しょせん中国品質だから何があってもおかしくはないと思っていたが。犠牲者に黙祷。

The only derailment of a Shinkansen train in passenger service occurred during the Chūetsu Earthquake in 2004. Eight of ten cars of the Toki No. 325 train on the Jōetsu Shinkansen derailed near Nagaoka Station. There were no casualties among the 154 passengers. In the event of an earthquake, an earthquake detection system can bring the train to a stop very quickly. A new anti-derailment device was installed after detailed analysis of the derailment.
