Yes it was changed by apple so it was compatible with windows xp. But Mac OS will not run without quicktime. Windows XP will run without quicktime obviously.

Get any help you can of this guy, he is amazing, i never used final cut pro before in my life, however after watching his tutorials i was able to do things i didn't even know it could do, you can achieve so much, then it just comes naturally.
