first off, i'm a female. so i'm SURE i have it, and my kids possibly have it too. it's good for you that your body fought off the virus, not many people are able to fight off the virus in 4 weeks. not many know they've been exposed to it either until it's already chronic too.
are your kids tested, or your wife? just because you have the desease, it does not mean at all your kids might have it...women are ones that the virus presense really threatens the children in the womb. Please make sure.Adults are 90/95% to destroy the virus successfully...however...odds are the other way around with little children. Defenses are not quite developed yet. I was a former Hepatitis B pacient...luckly my body reacted in 4 weeks
i never said my children don't have hep b. my kids probably do have it, my oldest is on the boarder line they say, which i believe he does have it since i'm a carrier.
hello, how are you , your statistics for the adult is correct but your child statistic is not. Children at 5 or older have are 5% chance of developing chronic hep b , children under 5 have a 35 % chance of developing chronic hep b.I know this because i work with children under and older then 5 with hep b.
i hope in my life time this vaccine is produced. my dad died of HepB at 43, i don't want to leave my children the same way. can someone find more information on this?
The hepatitis B virus vaccine is very effective in preventing infections (even though there are mutations of the virus that are resistant to the vaccine). If an adult (without vaccine) becomes infected with Hep B there is a 5% chance of developing a chronic infection, Children are more likely to develop a chronic infection 95%
