@1TU3 I would just heat the water with the sugar and then add the fish sauce later because heating up the fish sauce would stink up the house! lol

Man, nuoc mam is delicious. My mother she makes them as well and you can use it for a lot of Vietnamese dishes. You can dip egg rolls or spring rolls into them, pour the sauce onto the rice, or dip cooked chicken, pork, and etc into it. Great stuff.
